Regional Sales Manager (W Cape)

The newly created RSM role will contribute to the growth of ooba’s market share by leading a highly experienced team of Home Finance Experts. The primary focus of the role will be to ensure the maximum conversion of home loan opportunities into granted bonds and to drive the cross selling of ooba’s product range. Based at ooba’s Head Office in Cape Town, the role reports into the Provincial Sales Manager.

Required Qualification, Experience & Knowledge:

  • Matric
  • A minimum of 2 years’ sales management experience
  • A solid background in financial services – home loans experience essential
  • A demonstrable record of achievement in sales and leadership

Required Skills: 

  • Sound sales management skills, including: data and market analysis; opportunity management; strategic planning; budgeting; bank relationship management; target setting and team performance management
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring – the ability to inspire individual performance and engagement in your teams
  • Sound financial management skills – the ability to run a profitable sales region
  • The ability to deal with complex home loan queries, especially the ability to arbitrate challenging home loan applications
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
