This Business Development Manager position, based at ooba’s Fourways office (in Gauteng, South Africa), offers you the chance to join an innovative financial services brand and one that pioneered home loans in South Africa over 17 years ago. You’ll report to the Provincial Sales Manager (Gauteng).

What Does A BD Manager Do At ooba?
The person in this BD Manager role will help us further grow our business and our sales in this region, by ensuring we take a greater market share. Also, you’ll help to develop and execute the Provincial sales strategy.
You’ll do this by developing the acquisition of new lead sources for the business, including at residential property developments and with new real estate offices.
Also, it’ll include relationship management of existing real estate partners, as well as demonstrating ooba products to them (and facilitating training in these products). And you’ll represent ooba at relevant regional events.
What We’re Looking For In Applicants?
Ideally, you’ll have a Matric (or tertiary qualification / or suitable experience that replaces the need for tertiary qualifications); a min’ 3+ years sales exp’ with a proven track record; a background in financial services is advantageous but not essential (including home loans exp’ preferred; as well as banking, insurance or real estate exp’ ). Ability is needed in BD and market analysis and business planning. Intermediate to advanced computer literacy is required, as well as the ability to do public speaking and industry networking.
