National sales development manager

Position Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: ooba Head Office, Cape Town CBD

Purpose of the Position: To improve ooba’s market position by driving sales performance; acquiring new lead providers; growing, retaining and leveraging key partner relationships and leading strategic sales initiatives.

Required Qualification, Experience & Knowledge

  • Relevant under-graduate level degree (experience will be considered as a replacement for a degree)
  • A minimum of 10 years’ sales management experience of which at least 5 years has been at senior management level in an organisation with national representation
  • Financial services industry experience (home finance experience highly preferred) with a demonstrable record of achievement in business development and sales leadership in line with modern sales methodology

Key Performance Areas

  • Conceptualising, developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to:
    • retain and grow market share in ooba Bond;
    • acquire and retain residential property development partnerships;
    • acquire and retain ooba licensees;
    • acquire and retain top sales talent;
    • launch and distribute new products and services through ooba’s sales force.
  • Relationship and sales performance management of real estate partners at national level;
  • Supporting, guiding and developing ooba’s sales leaders;
  • Sales performance management of ooba’s sales provinces in line with agreed national and regional objectives;
  • Representing ooba in the media and at national and regional stakeholder events;
  • Assessing and improving real estate and homebuyer servicing models;
  • Improving on existing sales force remuneration models;
  • Providing strategic insights to Product Development team;
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Sales Operations and Human Capital teams to develop enable and support the sales force.
